Make sure that you have some feature on the part to get orientation check. We tried long time ago and it did work on GSM with 4 spindle. For us, setup the vision system was the challenge for correct rotation using vib feeder.

Also, sometimes placing heads "skip" some rotation - component is little skewed on board but vision shows "correct" numbers. Probably some mechanical error ?

Another question about Set Command Variables. We use fixed dimension, multiple window PCBs in all of our UIC machines. It is often required that we use the rotary table to populate the entire panel, but this means that for each rotation, either the w

Hello, I have just installed the demo version of GC-Powerplace. Could anyone here walk me through the process to generate pick and place file from gerbers? I don't have solderpaste layer. All I have got is signal layers (top/bottom), soldermask, sil

MACHINE CONFIG> MOUNT R ATTR. You have the choice of REL or ABS. Until you get these sorted and understand the differences you may struggle a bit with rotations. Should be in the manual. I always ran REL, which means the mount angle is relative to th

One thing to consider regarding the capacitor, The leads are not 100% straight beneath the plastic bottom part. And if you align with regards to the two leads, the leads will be aligned to the pads of your board, but the body of the capacitor is look

I think I read a thread very similar the other day but can't find it. If I remember correctly, the component database for that part was polarized and pre-orientation was used for camera inspection. It turned out that the optimization module in the

Mostly, you don't want to do that. Whoever designed the PCB should be able to produce a "pick and place report" or similar file that lists components by designator (R123) component value/type (100 Ohm 0805) and XY and rotation. If there's absolutel

We saw this idea in older posts, but - we don't want tombstone elsewhere :) - rotating the boards before oven is complicated, so it could give more problems than the tombstoneing :) the issue is not 100%, it is 10 to 50 boards with component up per 3
