You might want to look into one of the machines from Europlacer or Mydata that have very high feeder capacities(200 or more) and intelligent feeders. They were designed for minimal change over time in high mix environments.

Based on the amount of equipment I am seeing available in China for sale, my guess is China is suffering from over capacity issues at the this time. I could be wrong but it doesn't appear the world wide board assembly economy is anything but flat.

Hi Ken, You're right - they're not doing anything smart, they are just using a rechargable battery pack. It's not even the latest or most suitable technology for the application (Li-ion has far better temperature characteristics & far high capacity
