A much greater material cost savings has been realized by companies going to China for their product manufacture. It's not so much the labor man, its the material. Metal, plastic, composites and electronic components are way cheaper there than here.

Kester has a special alloy for high temp soldering. Alloy 123. I would think that if you coocked 63/37 to 360c you would have a pot of dross in no time! Doug
