The Lightning Head on an Advantis Platform is a good choice. You should expect to see "Real Life" speeds around 20K, better accuracy than any Turret Style Machine, and the software is the same as any GSM,Genesis,Advantis machine using a Windows platf

Is it only this 1 job? Is the error "board model not found"? I have had instances where I taught the Fids. and it still didn't like them in production. Is the board fid. in the center of the screen when you try to run the job?

Re: 23-Jun-05 16:09 (pr) It is a pad, cos the fids on the PCB are in a different place to the ones on the stencil.

You should be fine with this if it is a plastic body, If it's ceramic or some other kind of heavy package you will probably want to check. We process PBGAs up to 35x35 with no glue on many occasions.

Hi all, we will be moving our pcb production to a different (newer) part of the plant this summer in an effort to reduce dust and better control the temp/humidity. What can I install to keep the dust down? Are there air exchangers/filters for a room

We asked a similar question here on SMTnet a month or so ago. Major sources of dust and dirt are: * People * Packing materials * In-bound materials

As Dave states: Don't let any people in the room Don't unpack or pack anything in the room Don't let any material enter the room This should keep the room clean.

Don't forget about the exhaust. To keep the room at a positive pressure you must add more air than the exhaust from ovens and waves removes.

Good point. I am thinking of adding a small "mudroom" before you enter the main assembly room. There the workers can put heel straps on, smocks, hang coats, things like that.
