We have been using the 3M Electronic Service Vacuum Cleaner for a couple of years. The buisness end (hose and nozzles) is ESD Safe, it's Easy to use, and filters are a snap to change. The case is not ESD Safe, but if you do not set it on or right nex

Try a fid teach on your changers. I don't recall how to do it but you'll find it pretty easy if you surf around. Also, the seals on the nozzles must be good and soft. If you can still get them new, I'd replace. Same goes for seals in changers. C

Vacuum Bakeout Ovens For many years vacuum bakeout ovens have been used in the hybrid industry for removal of moisture from ceramic cercuits prior to hermetically sealing packages. In this process the vacuum oven certainly reduces the bakeout cycle

Hi, "Baker with controlled humidity 5%" is actually dry cabinet. Using of dry cabinets i.e. ambient temperature baking is preferred. Vacuum will always be better. If you are going to use vacuum chamber, that will be the best method in my opinion.

"I read a study a while back by IBM that showed too strong a vacuum would cause too much moisture to enter the bags." That's what the nitrogen is for. If you pull a vacuum w/o backfilling with something dry, like nitrogen, pretty soon the vacuum ove

I am looking into Vapor Phase with Vacuum and Inline Reflow with Vacuum (besides Heller I believe a German company SMT has something comparable). There are a couple of companies I found that make vacuum ovens for soldering of hybrid microelectronics

I don't fully understand what you are trying to do... 1. Reflow Solder in a Vacuum Temp Chamber 2. Vapor Phase / Condensation Solder with Vacuum 3. Contact Heat system with Vacuum 4. Inline Reflow Oven with Vacuum ... or what you are trying to sold

In previous lives we vacuum sealed all MSD devices. Also a nitrogen chamber can be used for unsealed bags. You can check the J-STD-033 and J-STD-020A for handling of the different levels, bake times etc. Good Luck!

At this point, I do not plan to back-fill with nitrogen. I have confirmed that vacuum baking, with the temperature set to 40°C, will result in the chamber %RH being less than 5%.

Any advice how to select plasma cleaner...Is Atmospheric plasma cleaning a better option than low pressure plasma (chamber) type? Thanks...
