We have the IQ system. The problem that I was having is that when I load one board to the other, I want to avoid the table top changeovers. So I figure if I can make certain tabletops to run certain boards the changeovers would be much less. I though

Thank you very much for the input. I figured out my problem to be that once I defined the tray, I did not changeover the table top just as Bob said. I'm good to go now, I think anyways. I was so used to the IQ feeders, changing over the matrix tray

I would like to freeze feeders on a global basis. I am tired of table changeovers everytime I run a different board. A good example is today I ran 1 board which went well. I wanted to run a board behind it that had 99% the same parts. I am not necess

I am currently looking into ways to decrease SMT changeover times. I work in a high mix-low volume factory. We use Fuji CP's and IP's for SMT production. I would appreciate hearing from anybody that has some proven methods for reducing setup/changeov

A feeder verification tool like Bartector will stop any need for time wasted manually verifying the correct part to the correct feeder. Also, there are plenty of pieces of SMT placement equipment out there that offer offline feeder pallet tables that

Chrissieneale, Have you invested in additional feeders and feeder tables to prepare for the next job offline while running the current job? If your changeovers take as long as you suggest then this should be a quick ROI.

Hi Joakim, I do not know the QP242 table, but on our GP-341, CP-IV-2 and IP-III we make a plate from plexiglass with milled holes to show where the supports go for each board. This is not as fast as the Gridlock but does not cost nearly as much. J

| I have a number of hopefully easy questions: | | 1. Are there significant differences in the ease of change-overs and set-up among different equipment manufacturers? For example, are Siemens Siplace machines truly more modular than others?
