Does look like delam, if its that bad and the board looks like its HASL finish or Silver, it could also be porous absorbing the chemistries of HASL or Nitric from the Silver which will greatly encourage ECM or poor SIR figures or just simply eat the

Unfortunately for me, I can't say whether those balls were flat on 1 side or not -- sent this board for x-section to see if we had CAF, since my ionics testing wasn't breaking IPC standard. Unhappily my x-sect results were inconclusive. However I d

This does sound like my failure! Failure typically goes away when boards are removed from humidity. Yes we do have a HASL finish. Do I have to do the waterbath alcohol/water extraction to pull these contaminants, or is warm water/steam enough?

Hi Kristof, I checked the tacho everything is ok with that, its reading a constant 0 -0 and belt tension looks good. Not sure what else to try. The smema problem is that it will not accept a board from the previous S20. Ive changed smema cables, s

if use tray cannot solve the problem, you can change from the design 1)Reduce the effect of temperature on PCB 2) PCB USE HIGH TG 3) BOARD THICKNESS TOO THIN 4) MODIFY THE BOARD SIZE 5) Reduce the V-CUT depth.

Matt, we did the study and YES perpendicular to the V-score is the worst case scenario. We did a cross section and confirmed component is cracked. If you don't have power over PCB design, the easiest way is to change board panelization or even order

UFOS is a much earlier format which has very truncated details over VIOS , so as an intermediate going from later formats such as the versions of VIOS you are suggesting, is probably not the best, or more succintly it sucks. Send me a copy of your in

A couple of caveats; The FR4 will degrade with successive reflows and will eventually need to be replaced. Not a big deal for low volume, but something to be aware of. The bigger concern is that a sheet of .125" large enough to position your assembl

Hello All, I would appreciate if anyone could offer some information on the following question. Does anyone have experience changing a reflow environment from high nitrogen concentration (1,000 PPM) to 20,000 PPM or even higher. Were any problems s

You weren't clear on the type of gauge that you're using. Strain gauge load cells are the most common. These load cells have two gauges. The orientation of the gauges affects cell performance characteristics. * Temperature compensated: Temperature
