The best offline software I have come in contact with is CircuitCam. Go online at www.aiscorp.com or send an email to jspera@aiscorp.com You can use cad, a scanned image, D256 data or gerber files. Check them out.

hi, The 2D uses gray scale analysis to calculate area coverage of paste on the pad. Off-line programming was offered via CircuitCAM from Aegis.

We use CircuitCam for MyData off-line machine programming, it's wonderful and I don't know how we did without it. But, it's pricey.
