CO2 is not the problem, CO (carbon monoxide) produced by combustion (engines, fires, etc) is. Trees and vegetation can process CO2, but not CO.

I recently saw a brief presentation on selective cleaning using Co2. In basic terms a fine jet of Co2 is blasted onto the desired area of the PCB removing the contamination and supposedly causing no damage to PCB or components. I think it's quite a n

Have you got some experience with using laser (CO2 or fiber one) to label with barcode your PCBs ? So far I thought it is easy process but now we do tests with many PCBs covered with diffrent soldermasks and fiber laser as well as CO2 has same probl

Mike: I'm just glad I got away with the rest of the stuff I said. You are 100% correctamuno that the report said what you stated. I don't believe that the authors understood the process of absorbing CO2 in ionless water, nor the impact of that che

No thanks Rob I don't want these jokers to come to the conclusion that humans are the biggest producers of CO2 simply by breathing. The good part is plants convert it back to O2. So I suggest y'all keep some plants in the greenhouse and we be fine.

I agree with John S., laser is definitely the way to go. More flexible and maintenance-free than applying printed labels. John S., are you using Yag or CO2? rgds AR

Hello everyone, Can anyone point me in the right direction for barcoding PCB's? We run high volume with very small boards with not alot of room for labels. Maybe 2d CO2? Any ideas or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

I would only use CO2 on machinery dry chemical extinguishers mess up your machine if you ever need to use them. For further advice you can call your local fire marshal.
