Topaz X Head Optimization

I have continued to try and make this work, but I've had no success. I have tried everything that everyone has suggested. It might be the component height, but I can't change that. I guess I could increase the resistor thinkness, and add some heig

Good Day for Everyone! TOPAZ XII can handle 6.5mm height components easily. Is it possible to mount 10mm? The problem is that the picked high component pushes away other placed high component. Camera alignment works well. Please share your experien

Granite Surface and ESD

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 28 09:56:36 EST 2005 | n wolford

We have a granite table out on our production floor. We use the table along with metal parallel bars and a height gauge to measure component height. Some of these boards have components on them that may be ESD sensitive. Does anyone have experience w

Very fishy missing solder paste issue

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 20 16:08:34 EDT 2005 | grantp

Hi, I think the comment about the board height is because the MYDATA checks the board height each time it loads a tool so this is eliminated from being an issue because the machine knows the PCB height. I don't think it's so much what height the PCB

Hi All! I've been reading this conversation which prompted me to break out the IPC-SM-786A from the IPC manuals from our parent company in Maryland sent us (we're just starting up in California). It's the Procedures for Characterizing and Handling of

Re: Solder Mask Defined Pads

Chris: Whatever way you decide to define your pads, use the same type on the component and the board. Non-solder mask defined pad advantages: No point-of-stress concentration at edge mask and solder ball No CTE mismatch at edge mask and solder
