There is a field retrofit to increase the 25mm (0.98425") standard clearance up to 45mm (1.77165"), its not quite the 2", but close. You will have to recreate your component library though. For more details, contact Mirtec tech support at http://www.

You can adjust to 45mm clearance, But I would recommend staying at 25mm if working with fine pitch and smaller passive components.

Why not follow SAC305? you would do so for any other component finish wouldn't you? A component finish of pure Sn would also not call for a pure Sn profile, would it?

Wouldn't it be nice if all components and packaging were standardized. Some ignaramous that has never done any production work is designing the component and has not a clue what it is like in the real world of manufacturing. Is there an answer to the

Hi Debra.Baking must be above the evaporation temp of water. This leads to an oxidation problem on the components and affects solderability. Please follow the link and check out Totech on that page.http://www.shanelo.co.za/products.htm

This question maybe more for myself than SWAG, but, could this be a DELTA problem caused by design? (Ground Plane) One side of the component reflows later causing the component to twist???

i acutally meant to bake components that are moisture sensitive before placing them. i just want to use a toaster (not the pop up kind), maybe the best way is to just get an oven thermomoter and see where the 125c setting would be on the toaster.

Shelf life numbers don't mean dip. Are the parts solderable per ANSI/J-STD-002, Solderability Tests for Component Leads, Terminations, Lugs, Terminals, and Wires? If yes, go solder the parts. If no, get better parts from your supplier.

Hey, Are you having a problem with only 1 component from head 1 or all components on head 1? Thanks, Dax
