Check your pad spacing on the board. Look at the IPC specs for pad design.

No max spacing spec. except that it should not be so far away from the other one that it is no longer on the board! IPC 782 shows .5mm spacing for the min.

Adam, I would first check hole to lead sizes on the components that you are having hole fill issues with to see that the spacing is withing spec. Second, check for oxides on lead tips, and contaminated leads that cause poor wetting and insufficient

We are presently aluminum wirebonding to gold plated lands. Our board manufacturer has been very inconsistient in the quality. It seems as though theey are over etched by about half the amount they should be. Can anyone give me the spec's that normal
