Motherboard become NO POST when humidity increase to 90%

Electronics Forum | Fri Nov 20 11:21:37 EST 2009 | patrickbruneel

In 90% humidity it’s easy to get condensation. Condensation will create electrical failure when the board isn’t conformal coated. In your case the failure disappears when the humidity level drops so to me it’s unlikely that the flux has anything to d

Solder Paste Controls

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 03 06:20:58 EDT 2012 | kahrpr

Absolutely! The Solder paste needs to be brought to room temperature or close before opening. It like bringing a cold glass from the refrigerator when the humidity is high, water will condensate on the glass. It also will condensate on the solder and

If you are using water cooling in yr oven , look for flux condensation on the heat exchanger.

Fog Test

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 26 14:36:31 EDT 2002 | blnorman

Is anyone aware of a fog test for flux or flux residues? Supposedly one of our vendors had a test, but we've lost the specifics. We're interested in finding out if after heating, some of the residues (retained volatiles, or whatever) will escape an

Hi, Encountered this deference to the vapour phase process that was supposedly "phased" out years ago? *pardon the pun* Any comments from folks who have used this proces before? how about folks who are currently using this process? even better, a

Compressor air line material

Hi, Yes, we just built a new plant, and used copper again. The stuff we cut out of the old building was copper, and it was fine without any issues. We lay it on an angle so condensation flows to an end, and can be periodically vented, and we take a
