I would suggest trying an acrylic peelable mask. In most cases peelable temporary masks are latex materials. Since you use an acrylic conformal coating it makes sense to use a mask with the same make up to avoid incompatabilities. Link to acrylic mas

I am looking for removable covers to protect connectors from coating during conformal coat spraying operations. Anyone know of companies handling these products?

I have a product that has earthing/positioning holes, as they are to be used for earthing purposes they need to be free from conformal coating. This pcb is double sided. I have used spot/peelable mask to protect these holes. However when the conforma

Dave, Where can I get the rubber boots you are talking about? We are going to have to start doing 100% conformal coating of boards for some of our customers in high volume, we currently only do a selective coat. We currently use a silicon coating,

Hello SMTA, We're currently considering purchasing a low-cost 3D Printer to make "masking boots" for connector and component protection during conformal coating. Our assemblies have myriad variety of components and connectors that make traditional

Guys When stripping conformal coating from an entire assembly, how do I know the stripping solution won't damage anything on the PCB ? stuff like electronic sensitive devices, wiring, labelling and plastic hinges. And secondly when conformally coati

Hi I am looking for some type of peelable mask or plug to cover the connector during the conformal coating. The problem we have is the moisture get into system and eventually penetrate under the connector creating short circuit to the board. What I r

Seeking information on companies that manufacture conformal coating equipment. Pro's and Con's of UV / IR or air cured coatings. Masking verses selected coating systems. Thanks Wayne

I agree with Lou. Crepe paper is the way to go, MUCH cheaper and conforms much better to parts and surfaces being masked. Source items that have a rubber based adhesive and you will also avoid the conformal coating solvents leaching the masking adhes

We conformally coat over NC solder paste. No problems. We're using a platinum catalyzed addition cure silicone. The only concern with this conformal coating is cure inhibition. You must test the coating over the residues to be sure there is no in
