Hi Buddy, We've tried shifting to this process before and from our point of view here are some of the advantage and disadvantages that we discovered. Advantage 1) Cheap Equipment cost as you just need to use your Solder Paste Printer rather than buy

Streaking at Screen Printing

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 15 10:58:32 EST 2006 | pms

Yes we see this also....... It is what they call "cold welding" of the solder paste to the blades...... The solder spheres actually "weld" together...... It leaves streaks on the stencil, not a clean wipe of the stencil....... We have never found

"Recycling" Paste?

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 05 18:55:25 EDT 2024 | jdengler

Note that not all pastes are equal. You need to test the paste you use to see how long it continues to print well. I have used paste that prints the same after 24 hours on the stencil and some that barely makes it to 8.

Thick Film Screen Printer

The screens are basically the same technology. But when I worked with them , the screens were 6 inches square for a 3 or 4 inch hybrid. It is used on a precision printing machine to get good alignmant. Tee- shirts use a bigger stencil and are not so

DEK HORIZON 265 Squeege Pressure question

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 27 09:29:04 EDT 2020 | serge_pirog

Yes, I calibrated the height, no error. How can I check that pressure was compensated? If we press button "continue" after some cycles of printing system will show "error".

DEK HORIZON 265 Squeege Pressure question

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 27 14:32:34 EDT 2020 | dekhead

Following a pressure error, if continue is pressed, the next print with THE CORRESPONDING squeegee should attempt to compensate by increase or decrease in pressure (as appropriate)... Is it: 1)Not changing at all? 2)Over compensating? 3)Under compens

Anyone with 2001 era DEK 248 experience?

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 19 14:24:22 EDT 2008 | shanenaturalpoint

My first problem is that when the unit homes, the print carriage seems to be traveling too far back. After the carriage reaches its mechanical limit, it continues to try and move back, eventually throwing up a print carriage error. Any ideas?

Hi everybody. I'm new at SMT soldering. I'm using a stencil to print solder paste on PCB. and my board has 0402 components that it make assembling process long so I can't complete a set of board in a day and I have to continue in the next day. what

There was a similar thread last week on SMTnet. Maybe the poster of that thread can help. Not everyone responds on-line. Check the SMTnet Archives for generalities and platitudes about PIH, although there may be some good links. Baring the obviou

PROBLEMS WHILE GLUE PRINTING

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 20 16:51:31 EDT 2001 | jschake

Using an enclosed pressurized printhead system will significantly reduce the waste produced compared to printing glue using squeegees. In trying to stay with the 0201 theme here, I will add that printing glue or adhesive for 0201s continues to be a
