Now I see - not sure. The only trouble I've had that was similar was because an electronic eye on one of the stages was seeing a machine that was installed a couple inches over the top of the conveyor. We had to install a flat black plate on the ma

Martin, may I ask what your offer is? Does the pick and place machine vendor provide you with a special nozzle, which would not require the peel off cover. Custom nozzles from the OEM are quite expensive, because they implement engineering and test.

I'm not familiar with Quad but I have had very similar problems on printers. If your conveyor has an L-bracket over the top of the conveyor belt to keep it down + aligned, you might need to remove it for cleaning or make some adjustments to it so it

Just measure width, length and thickness and buy from anyone that sells belts. This is just the website that comes on the top when I typed "conveyor belts" in google http://www.beltcorp.com/profile.html

We have found that our wave solder will produce worse hole fill/top side fillets nearest the conveyor, on most boards. I believe this is due in part to the smaller contact patches near the conveyor fingers. What could cause this reduced contact

SAC coated leads on certain components require more dwell time. If you find that you have top-side wetting issues, slow the conveyor down a bit or increase your wave height, or, a combination of the 2.

Yes, there will be a difference. When the board is on the rail conveyors it is closer to the top heaters and farther away from the bottom heaters than when on the mesh conveyor. That difference will create different temperatures on both sides of yo

Hey Loco, how about saving the bottom side? It actually only depends on your oven setting specific to Top heaters and Bottom heaters. Unless you set the parameters rightly, you would face such issues. It only indicates that you need to seriously re-l

The variables to study: * Dwell Time * Contact Length * Conveyor Speed * Parallelism * Top-side Substrate Temperature Before wave * Solder Pot temperature All of these variables are inter-related (ie changing one variable will affect another)
