They have there strong points and weak ones. I have worked with them for the last 5 years and have seen some flakey problems (Cables, feeders, encoders) that will cause you some down time but if you get a good price on a system it might be worth it.

Just a slight correction....the quad align card is located at the back rear right of the machine (in a cage). If it is a cyber-optics 4c machine....the laser align card is in the front card rack to the far left.

In the early days Quad machines were fitted with an alignment system that was purchased from a company named Cyberoptics. Quad then developed their own alignment system and called it Quadalign.

2c belt driven.....'a little' less accurate (costs less) 4c ball screw......'a little' more accurate (costs more) vu4-vu6 upward camera for fine pitch.....cant remember but the differenc is the field of view for camera. part centering is quad-align
