Simple question... Not so simple answer. It depends largely on process spec and honesty of the people running the test. Most will jump to throw out the flyers as "special cause". So if you didn't set the spec and didn't witness the run and measu

Several points: * Consider that your Cpk is probably different for both placing large and small components. * Probably your routine placement rate SB the speed you use to monitor the accuracy of your process. * Some people use a calibrated glass test

| Cpk's on top flight ovens (e.g., Conceptronics, Heller, Electrovert, Vitronics) vary wildly, from 1 to 2+, between different supplers. The suppliers don't seem to understand Cpk's. A supplier's rep whose oven has a Cpk of 1.0 told me: | 1. Cpk's

Choices are: * Run a Cp, Cpk capable profiler through the oven. * Review the results of your supplier's process qualification that would include Cp, Cpk on their oven. Handspring contract [REV. 6 - 7/1/99] with Flextronics says: [snip] 4. Process Ca

Is it possible to find the Cpk value for attribute data? We are running into problems due to unspecified LSL/USL values. How can we find the Cpk values without specific LSL/USL? We would also like to get some reference books on this subject so any

Go with the KIC 24/7 system. Does all your monitoring for you and generates your cpk. Only have to run a golden board once it takes care of the rest.

Cpk is sometimes referred to as the voice of the process because it is measuring how tight your process is in relation to the specification limits. A Cpk of 1 means that you are running a 3 sigma process (plus or minus 3 sigma). This means that you

Running the PAM board is a great tool. Using another machine to get you CPK is very inportant. We use the DT651 which does everything the PAM rom card does plus it gives a CP and CPK value. You can also use it to verify feeders in the X and Y. SMT re
