I have a 3 head CSM84 without vision. I have set up head 3 without chuck jaws to use with the mechanical alignment station. When I got the machine all the M.A. offsets were zero. Over time, I have gotten them closer, but I really don't understand

The machine is 2000 miles away, and the eBay auction has not closed yet. I'm working from what pictures and spec sheets I can find on the net right now. If I do win the bidding, I will need to be sure there is an opening wide enough for the machine

About 12 years ago, this forum was hugely helpful in guiding me to get a Philips CSM84, with no vision. (That might have been a mistake.) Now, I'm moving to smaller parts, especially TSSOP and QFP with 0.5 mm pitch, and the CSM just isn't accurate

You should check that the machine actually works before you buy it. I still can purchase most parts, but the Vision Board is not available anymore.

Recently purchased a CSM84VZ, thinking that it was going to be a simple stand alone machine easy to program and i have now found out that is nothing like I expected. i have no computer to control the machine other than the hand held control that conn

Tom, V3.78 is truely a bad version and does not include GLOAD. Files taken from the machine with V3.93 can stumble, but can be read... so I would recommend burning V3.93 EEPROMs. Only do this if both machines have Vision and DC Servo Motors present.

Hmm, that's a fairly old machine, even older than mine! (I have a CSM84 PA130640). Anyway, it is best to program the machine from CAD system data, I wrote a little program in C to read in the component type and XYR position, and produce the file in

I did convert YM 84V for 0402, base on my expperience , this approach is not really good. This model were not really meant for 0402 placement. Nozzle H ID is really small and prone to clogging, therefore cleaning every 2 hours is a necessity( not id

Tom, If you need the parts... I can quote and supply them.. A good tradesman can change these parts. You do not necessarily need a Yamaha trained guy to do it. The only issue issue after the exchange of the parts is calibration of the machine, which

Hi Adrian, You need the UFOS program. If you send me the cad data, and the BOM, and the board layout, I can make a sample program for you to check. However the program shall not be optimized and the head nos., feeder nos., and the vision files will
