Entry level selective soldering

Electronics Forum | Sun Jul 04 13:27:31 EDT 2021 | dilogic

We are looking for new entry-level selective soldering machine. I would appreciate if you can share experience with the equipment you have, as there are many machines on the market and it's a though choice. We will use it for lead-free soldering and

Laser selective solder machine

Low end selective laser soldering systems are limited to what types of soldering can be performed. I have read through the previous comments and find that most have commented on earlier technologies (which do not offer the features today's system do)

SMT line expansion - new oven and selective solder

Oh no, it's rated at a max of 120A at 208V. We have the power for that. At least the Vitronics is, not sure on the Heller.

KISS selective soldering machines conversion to Europe 240V 50Hz

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 28 08:13:09 EDT 2024 | atpico

Hello, In technical specifications for ACE KISS selective soldering machines it is written : Power International: 208-230VAC / 1Ph/60Hz 8 amps Question 1: this must be equipped in Factory, or it's custom selectable on the machine as for many ot

SMT line expansion - new oven and selective solder

The ovens you're looking at need 100 amps of 480, 200 amps of 240. Do you have that extra power available in your building? You can go with a step-up transformer to convert 240V to 480V. My understanding is that ovens run more efficiently on 480V.

KISS selective soldering machines conversion to Europe 240V 50Hz

Ours may be different, but the back power plates (yes, there's two) show 2082/220v 50/60Hz 30A and 115/120v 50/60Hz 15A Thinking the frequency won't matter. You'd be a bit above the high side of voltage. How did you end up with a KISS over there? Th

Solder Iron

The Ersa Power Tool does an awsome job and has a very large selection of tips. Keep in mind that the larger the tip the more stored energy. The Waveroom Plus in Londonderry NH sold us our Power tool and we tried everything nothing else worked. Good L

Selecte a Shunt Resistor

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 29 09:57:48 EDT 2021 | zxcvb

I'm attempting to perform power analysis on my target, which operates at 3.3 volts. The average current while running is around 140mA without the resistor. With a 5V power source, I utilized a 10Ohm resistor as a shunt resistor. The shunt resistor w

Time to retire the wave?

Electronics Forum | Fri May 18 11:51:37 EDT 2007 | grantp

Hi, We have a soltec wave, and apart from the really bad software running it, I am wondering if it's time to replace it with selective soldering, which will use less solder, and much less power than a wave. What is a good inline replacement for a w

BGA-2000 Micro Oven

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 19 08:44:05 EST 2000 | Rob Douglass

I would like to hear any feedback (good or bad) about the OK Industries BGA-2000 Series BGA and Fine Pitch Rework System. I was not part of the selection process for this machine and my initial opinion is that this unit may be "under-powered". Loo
