Hi Graham, I've worked in the industry selling EnSolv, Lenium, and now ENTRON solvents, which are all based on stabilized NPB. These solvents do not always clean the no lead pastes. The problem is that the pastes are becoming more like adhesives,

Dear Rick , thanks for your reply. It is very helpful. I'll get chance to try the Ensolv in a lab next week to see if we can remove the paste residues. Thanks again

It melts many plastics but not harmful to electronic components. to use it properly you need a vapor degreaser.

if is regardless of fluxes or population complexity my opinion is that inline aqueous with kysen liquid or other is the best because this liquid wash all type of flux and the aqueous wash all population complexity

Not in our case, the pre-heat temp was not high enough. Also our pre-heat is only from top (KISS104).

We've had to hand solder 1 or 2 pins in cases like this or you could use chip bond or some adhesive on the component body.

If you do not have one of the big in-line aqueous cleaners, then there is an easier way that is a lot less expensive. I suggest you try Asahi's AK-225T vapor degreasing solvent which has been around for 10 years now. And it is legal. If you have

Flashback time Vapor degreasers, although still used in limited applications, no longer represent the conventional wisdom (due to multiple environmental issues). Aqueous-based technologies are the most common method of defluxing. Unlike most va

Vapor phase or vapor degreasing cleaning for electronics is simple technology that holds merit on process situations like you described. Easy and quick to set up and process with today's modern equipment you can be up and running in no time once the
