| I am looking for information regarding post wave soldering of stranded wires into a circuit board using OA core wire solder. We do a final pass thru the cleaner after the hand soldering but I'm concerned about any OA flux residue that may have wic

Here's what I do: - Test Surface Insulation Resistance (we're in the high reliability market and use a test significantly harder than IPC's). I also test SIR in combination with other assembly materials like conformal coatings and wave solder flux

Thanks Bukas. I've actually gone to a lot of trouble over the past 24 months to completely clean, rebuild and adjust the pump and nozzle assemblies and even through all of that we've still never been able to get theoretical maximal wave height from t

Hi all, We run an old Seho 1135C wave solder with a 63/37 pot at 250°C. It has been running well for a couple of years but we have noticed lately that all of the larger pads (terminal blocks, transformers, etc.) require additional solder to be appli

That may just be an optical illusion. I've just measured and they're cut to just over 4mm (0.157"). The pot is at the level specified by the manufacturer (5mm from the bottom of the PCB if I remember correctly).

We're not sure the specifics that BLT Circuit Services Ltd referenced, but many companies use dross reducing agents in their wave solder pots. Among dross reducing agent suppliers: * Fry [4100 Sixth Ave, Altoona, PA 16602; 814-946-1611 F814-944-8094

Hey Gyver: If you dont mind (which you dont have any choice about, because Im going to do it anyhow, cause its MY word processor), Im going to respond genericly, but still be directed to your question. Much of the following is paraphrased from
