Depends on the size, complexity, quantity, and density of the board. Also depends on the CM and lead time required... Choose 2 or 3 good CMs and send them a pcb for analysis and quote...

It depends on what you're doing. Say for component placement verification, a line that's kicking-butt might have time to look at a somewhat different quarter of each board, depending on lots of stuff [eg, board, AOI equipment, line rate, etc.]

AIM, KESTER, OR INDIUM PASTE PREFERRED?

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 08 17:01:22 EST 2005 | Erik

We use all three depending on application (flux type, size, etc). I think they all have excellent pastes, but it just depends specifically on how you are using them. I've gotta say it's hard to find bad things to say about Indium though.

simple doubt about reflow profile

250-260ish seems a little on the high side ? Depending on the board density and components 230-245 should suffice. Again time above is usually preferred between 30-90secs but again it really depends on the PCB Dave

SMT Job Changeover Software?

Depending on budget Valor has Solutions from vManage software suite - depends on machine type on what can be done...but they are generally vendor neutral.

What is the preffered spacing between PTH and SMT pads

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 29 04:57:08 EDT 2009 | davepick

It depends on the application what will be considered the biggest issue to avoid (production or longterm reliability). Tin Whiskers are bit of an unknown quantity - but a more realistic problem could be dendritic growth / electromigration forming sho

The review time varies depending on the product. But it could take anywhere from 10s to over a minute depending. That doesn't leave much time left on this new line. What AOI are you using now and with what equipment?

AFTER CONFORMAL COATING ,THE PCB CAN BE RELOWED 230 DEG C PEAK AGAIN. IT IS ADVISABLE

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 18 14:35:40 EDT 2018 | davef

That's a reasonable question for a supplier to ask his / her customer. It depends ... It depends on the materials use in the process the assembly and the reflow temperature recipe

SMT Process

Depending on how interested you are get a hold of Ray Prasad book "Surface Mount Technology, Pricniples and Proctice."

Re: Paste Question!

Josue volume of paste will differ depending on whether you are using metal or rubber squeegees. Regards Mark
