Well first of all, you cant even go NEAR the machine unless you have no life - and you can PROVE it mathematically. The machines got an automatic geek sensor. Then, in order to turn the machine on, you have to solve a 1st order differential eq

I can't answer your specific question on the floor, but I have some suggestions. The equipment manufacturer should be able to provide the floor loading requirements. A structural engineer should be able to translate that into specs for hte constructi

I've checked the sensors and they look ok, I'm guessing its the plc-program then. If you get it working i'd be interested in knowing how to do it to ours. Already checked with Nutek and the manual is quite expensive so I guess we'll do with out it.

Hi Ken First of all, I think you are right to point out that the uptime should be calculated on the SMD line bottleneck. But I have some comments to your posting in general: The SMD line bottleneck, you say, is always the palcement machine. This i

Dave is right. There is no machine on the market which can handle a 1.5 m long "board". If you or someone else will have to tinker with a custom made machine, it will be less expensive to use a used machine ( I could be offering some used Siemens mac

Hi SMTnet. I have a series of sensitive parts and solder preforms which degrade when exposed to oxygen and moisture. It seems the standard way of protecting these components is to use a nitrogen purged cabinet as storage. This seems to use a lot of

I know, I've read the "been there done that" stories about this subject, but I still profess ignorance on some aspects. We are using NPO type dialectric caps in potted high voltage assemblies and continue to experience catastrophic vailures. Upon

| The question raised by our components engineering group is, is it possible to tell whether these failures are thermally or mechanically induced. The focus of design engineering up until now has been on process. Are our reflow temps ok, are the pa
