Hello ! Please offer some clever solution for the following problem 2 sided assembly. The side which must be assembled first has 2 SMD RJ45 connectors. They have plastic location pins. Which protrude tru the board, about 0.4mm So, when I want to a

Yes, thats the most obvious solution :) But its a quite specific and densely packed socket, so my hopes are not that high :)

Why would you assemble first side with TH component? Can't you start from the second side?

I got very few components on the first side and all these are not heat sensitive. On the other side I got 5 times more components, including electrolytic caps and micromodules, which love the lower temp of LMPA pasta and also, they would enjoy more i

The "clever" solution is to revisit the design. Move things, choose a connector with SMT tabs and no locating lugs. File this mistake away under "oops". You should also revisit the datasheets for your parts. Most components should be fine to reflow

I agree with jdengler on the rotary table being skewed. You need a couple of dowel pins (1 1/2" long x 1/4" dia., I think) to align that disk. Each idler is held on an eccentric cam and can be adjusted to square up the rotary table by dropping the do

Hey there fellow people with SMT issues... What's the proper procedure for soldering through-hole headers on the back-side of the PCB (pins poking out on same side as SMT parts)? ( Yes - I did the SMT side first and am now faced with LOTS of pin-poin
