Dull joints caused by NiAu PCB surface ?

Will the gold from some Ni/Au surfaces make the solder joints appear dull and a slightly rugged on the surface ? Does anyone have any experience with this ? Thanks !

I can't speak too much as to why your joints are appearing dull, even with the booster. I can recommend a new chemistry that Kyzen has out that I've been running for about a year now. Price is about the same, it can be run at low(er) concentrations

Dulling the solder joints helps making a better inspection on the joints. I would like to know if somebody has had experience using soldering materials in order to accomplish this task. Your recommendations are welcomed.

solder joints are dull on the bottom, and surprisingly, darkened, "black" on the top, especially at one location only.
