11,000 parts? Easy life. We have 66,000 lines in stock & about 500,000 on the system. We've added extra fields on the database for every part number with ROHS status, MSL, PBT, & end termination info added. We've also had to create duplicate part

I have used Balston (www.parker.com/balston) for desiccator cabinets in the past and really liked them. It's the only brand I've used so can't comment on how they compare with anything else, but it was certainly easy to use (hook up 100psi and dial

Re: Stencil printers, what's really out there?

I like MPM's 500 machine. I purchased the predecessor model when it was made by SMTech. This machine has programmable pin supports which made setting up for double sided boards really easy. For auto alignment, I think only in-line machines have th

I have three Mydata machines and I am very happy with them. The machines are easy to program as well as operate. They are not as fast as some of the other machines but if you change assemblies often you will likely make up some time in setup and cha

MPM's had great software, we had a UP500 but it was slow. Our Dek's are very fast and the software is decent but not as good when it comes to some basic stuff like board stop offsets on images that are off center. It doesn't give clear information wh

Steve, You are correct in that X-Ray image of a BGA will not show flux residue. So what? If you are using no clean flux then I would think it doesn't matter if there is some flux residue. Sure if you are reworking a BGA and the operator dumps t

Why worry about the temperature if the top of the chip is 20 degrees C above eutectic - 183 C(at the balls)...if a machine works at convection oven temperatures, with high power, then there's no need to worry...Also, a CSP is a very forgiving chip.
