Hey guru, Whats your version of an IPO? (Idiotic Process Options)Sounds like your head got stuck in that reflow oven when your company suggested that you keep an eye on those newfangled materials

JBrower, I enjoy this "guru's" posts too. Is that what you meant - that you're awaiting what "the guru" says next? Whatever happened to.... WML & Moonman?

I am absolutely awaiting his next reply. This guy is making me money, so I hope he continues dispensing his wisdom. I'm not sure where WML or Moonman are, heck I'd like to make money of them too. Jay

Chunks, FYI: I don't sell them. I sell the mechanical type from Cencorp. I just know about LPKF's machine. They should be able to give you the info you're looking for.

I've found 08MPF good for 0402's & 0603's, however that was before the blade nozzles were released, and from what I've seen the blades allow you to place a lot closer.

When the fab people cut a V-groove for depaneling, do they use a lubricant on the router or do they cut it dry?
Electronics Forum | Wed May 24 18:08:54 EDT 2006 | mgershenson
They cut it dry. Most shops use a rotating blade, some use 'skiving' just pushing the PCB past a v shaped blade. Don't know how popular the latter is anymore though.

I think I phrased that poorly. I'm talking about cutting the V-groove into the panel by the fabricator so that it can be depaneled later. Or did you understand me perfectly? :P I ask because your description sounds like the depanelers I've seen us
