Genny, you may want to look at the brds you will be running and identify the various packages. I do not know what a standard package is. Most chip resistor and capacitors, 0402, 0603, 1206, 1210's are on 8mm feeders, but ic's vary quite a bit. Also r

Hi Liza - polystirene monolayer (blend ?) could be sealed at less presure, ie 35-40 PSI. Temprature could be 165-170C. For sure after sealed you shoud make sure the sealing strength (peel strength)should meet min 15-25 N.(bet avg from 25 to 45 N)

Hi, We use a mixture of plastic tape carriers and paper tape carriers for placing chip components. We are experiencing a problem which I know is a problem across the industry...when using the plastic carriers, the chip components stick to the tape c

We have a CP-743 and recently purchased another one. I would like suggestions on tapes. The only thing that slows the machine down is tapes on reels getting stuck and/or jammed. Does anyone have suggestions for this problems or how do you keep this t

One of our distributors currently uses PSA cover tape. This has given us too many problems. We are in the process of trying to decide wether or not to fund them with the money they need to be able to use HAA process(they currently have capability). C

| Has anyone had a problem with the trailer tape length being too short and causing placement machine to stop for parts exhaust (SMT parts)? I realize the EIA spec. is set for this length but would like to know what issues you have had. Thanks |

Hi Liza, We tend to see it on the larger plastic tape sizes & lower volume parts - such as smd connectors, fine pitch reeled IC's, BGA's etc. We don't tend to get it on high vol parts such as logic, 8 & 16bit micros, v-regs etc. Could this be du

Yes Davef, storage condition and long time remaining on shelf could effect pealing strength, but we experimented that by using Polystirene Carrier Tape also this problem was reduced almost to zero. Df, If I am not wrong when you talk about pr
