We have been having problems with proper wetting when running mainly lead free but also leaded solder in our Ersa Hotflow 3. Solder either often looks grainy or doesn't flow over the whole pad. This is generally the case when my profile is 170 firs

Hello, we will buy new wave soldering machine . Trying to decide between two model; Soltec Delta-x and ERSA Powerflow N2. Could you help us , which one is better? most of pcb low volume, others high volume. At first low batch production will be done

Hello, I work on the replacement on our old waves. The objective is to replace 6622C waves by full tunnel N2 waves, for the benchmark, I have selected 3 manufacturers : Ersa, Seho and Electrovert. What are your experiences with these manufacturers

I would go for the laminar flow as opposed to N2. The contour nozzle doesn't really work all that well even with N2. I knew I should of asked you if you had a contour, I was thinking laminar flow hence the dynamics input. Russ

Hell Dave, I am about to follow your example to rig a refrigerator into a N2 chamber. One of questions in my mind is how to you keep a constant N2 flow? We will have a N2 input, are we going to have some kind air output? Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello Everyone, I am wondering what you are paying for Nitrogen (N2) in for your re-flow or wave, in $ per m3/hr. Please get back to me so I can determine some long term operational costs. Best regards, Gary Z.

Hello Doug, At .3284/100CF, the operational annual N2 cost range for one (1) re-flow oven would be $7,200 ~ $30,000, ball-park estimate. (based on 21 hour days, 280 days per year) Thanks for your input. Gary Z.

I know that we maintain lower PPM count from our N2 Generators when we can lower the flow rate. I'm not sure if that would help you or not.

We are looking at several reflow ovens with intent to acquire one for both air and nitrogen reflow capability (i.e. have the capability to reflow in either air or nitrogen environment). Would be interested to know what I should look for in comparing

Gary Getting the specs for a used machine will be tough from Ersa but at least send them a note, the seller should also be able to get the info for you. In regards a 5 zone system. I would suggest at least 7+ zones if your moving to lead free.
