Hi! Does any one can give the reason of the black dust into de wave solder machine. We can found no reason for that, but the machine get dirty to fast despite the maintenance. Thanks for your time Bruna Neto

That's just dross. If you have nitrogen blowing over the wave, you could reduce its flow as it tends to blow the dust everywhere if it is set too high. (on the other hand it might reduce solder quality)

Hi Andrzej, I guess you mean peelable solder resist. Good idea to try during R&D, but certainly not a solution on production floor. Also, few constraints to be considered such as presence of entrapped air between component and solder resist, the natu

Bridging Causes: * Insufficient flux * Excessive pre-heat * High conveyor speed * Solder contamination

I ask for advice on starting wave soldering machine. The soldering machine is not new. Are there guidelines for properly loading solder into a bath and more. I also ask you to recommend an alloy. What do you think about Alpha Sn Plus 07 or SN100C(Sn

I have problems with blowholes during the wave soldering process. I already find out that the stock time between reflow and wave is the most important. The longer the boards are in stock the more blowholes we have. We don't have a climat controlled

KRIKIES! If that wasn't a sales pitch, I don't know whut was, me lad. Optimizer is good for DoE's and process characterization, but no substitute for the artform that is wave soldering. When me lads here in Purchasing get PCB's from all over the w

Lead-free? White-tin finish? Even if it's not, it sounds like a moisture/contamination issue. If your boards must sit in stock between reflow/wave, consider giving them an alcohol bath to clean up any contamination, and a good baking to remove any

Does anyone have any experience with setting up a nitrogen supply system to a wave solder machine that is equiped for it? Does the nitrogen need to be room temp or higher? Does it make a big difference with bridging or solder quality? We bought a use

I sell wave solder optimizer in Philippines. I have sold many of this optimizer system. It cost less than US$10K. Most of my customer is happy with the performance except for some issues from customers like LCD not yet colored, uses RS232, upgrades
