Does anyone have any input on ESD Epoxy flooring, positive or negative?

Hello, I've ran into information claiming that ESD dissipative floor mats and laminate is not effective unless paired with ESD footwear or heel straps. Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks! -OtheRuss

Correct. Remember, you need the charge to flow to earth from yourself, the heel strap/conductive shoes etc. facilitate this, otherwise you would stay charged no matter how good the floor was.

Dissipative flooring is not really "conductive" so to speak. what it does is (supposedly)dissipate charge as it accumulates on the surface of mat. Does this mat have a ground lug on it? Responses are correct, unless you can get conductivity between

We only reapplied in areas where significant wear was observed. As I mentioned, shop chairs moving back and forth, combined with lead trimmings and other debris led to scraping and peeling over time. Other than that, no, we did not re-apply over

I've used it at my last two companies, and quite like it. The base floor has to be prepared correctly, so that the epoxy bonds correctly, but, it's easy to maintain, and is pretty durable. Repeated movement of bench chairs over it does cause wear

Kick Out the Salesman from your manufacturing floor! We had that when I was with Commodore B.V. and if you use their tester it passes but if you use other ESD testers it fails. crap!
