As far as I know, the gang picking or not, it has to do with the pick positions. By what I mean is the X positions and Y positions have to as close to parallel for all those feeders in order for "gang pick" to work. If one of the feeder XY position

Is this really where you are losing most of your time? Make sure your machine is optimized ie gang pickup, multiple feeders, feeder placement, etc..

Hi Thomas, Yes, we are pretty good at feeder maintenance, we gang pick on our Yamaha/Assembleon kit with no issues. On one of our older machines (YV112-3/Sapphire) we pick 12 LEDs at once per side of the machine. On a couple of jobs we exceed the ma

Installation/set up of the component shuttle is critical. The shuttle must be perfectly squared and leveled, since it has a 4 spindle pick/place head on it. This shuttle head can pick up to 4 comps. from the shuttle feeders (gang pick) and will deliv

I must say so far the yamaha seems to fit the bill. Most of our products are low mix. Less than 6 different components per board. 90% are only 2 lol. So just looking at how the yamaha operates it seems gang picking the same part off 12 feeders seems

Darby, I'm not completely sure I understand. Juki machines have what is referred to as a multi-head. The offsets between the heads are the same as the spacing between 8mm feeders. So the (6) heads all come down at once and "gang pick" from 6 8mm fee

If you teach your feeders, you can no longer gang pick correct? I have never had a dual beam or dual head GSM before. However, if you teach feeders with the fiducial camera and your picks are still off, there is an offset in one or several spindles

Hi All, Has anyone had any luck with gang picking the same part on Juki 2060 or FX1R's? Example: 100nf 0402, we can pick this part simultaneously from 8 feeders at once on our Yamaha's (or 12 on the old Sapphires), but on the Juki's we don't seem t

We actually ran production boards on Mydata and Universal Advantis. The Mydata machines software was very command line oriented which I thought was strange but they said they had no intention of upgrading it. The Mydata placement accuracy was superb.
