From what I understand, in the PCB Info window that first pops up when you open CEditor, the number of fids is multiplied by the number of arrays. So if you have a 4-up panel and you enter No. of Arrays = 4 and No. of fids = 2, the machine will look

This depends on how the software of your particular machine was written (designed) to handle local fids. Most machines do not have a requirement about the position of the local fids. The purpose of local fids are the same as global fids. All the p

Steve, I believe Contact Systems is the only company that uses local fids in this way. All othe machine have coordinates for the local fids. When measuring the fids it applies any error from the fid measurement to the 1 component it's linked to.

Something that I find unusual in some of the replies is the fact that local fids that are randomly dropped around the quad don't do anything for assisting the alignment of said quad. The only way that I am aware of the local fids being useful is if t

Is it possible that the PCB is moving? First try an autoscan of the fids and then immediately perform a manual trim which will bring the camera over to where it found the fid. If it is on, there is an offset drift in your axis or the PCB is able to m

We are currently having problems with running dome shaped fids. on some of our product. Particularly with the screen printer vision system the domes are reflecting the light to a point where the camera has problems seeing the fid. Has any one else en
