That's your clue. Your reflow is running ~240*C and your soldering iron is running ~370*C. Dial-up the heat.

Let's narrow this down. Questions are: * Are you putting the proper amount of solder in the board with your stencil print process? * If you are putting the proper amount of solder in the board, where is the solder going? Pick one and then fill-in th

Solder Paste and fine pitch components

1) For solder short, pls check the paste height. Too much vol will cause short. For 15 mils use 5 mils thickness stencil if possible. Check profile preheat time to prevent hot slumpof the paste. 2) type 4 powder will be better for 15 mils pit

Less solder with fine pitch qfp

What pitch? You can go 5 mil or even 6 mil stencils depending on your screen printer. Also what do you consider "less solder"? What defect are you having. Remember on a QFP you use the heel filet to determine proper solder joint - not the toe.

Hi Pascal, 0,65mm pitch normally isnt much of a problem. With 90m CU I dont have any experience but would like to know what deviation from nominal value for the pads you get with different PCB-deliveries. In short, for the standard Cu=35m we se

Trouble selective soldering fine pitch connectors

We are having difficulty with bridging on a 2x50 pin 0.050" fine pitch connector using our selective soldering machine. It usually bridges at the end of the row, but sometimes it bridges all the pins together as it drags across (solid bridging). I

We are using our selective solder machine to solder a backplane with sixteen (16) 4x48 pin 0.080" connectors. Our first pass yield is about 85% meaning that 85% of the connectors come out with no bridges. Not quite as fine pitch as your connector a
