Hi, We should wavesolder a PLCC44 package. The PCB is under the design procedure now and we must specify the best parameters (the orientation (45 or 90 degrees) of the package on the PCB,the number, the positon and the size of the solder thief pads

I agree with others here who have questioned the amount of solder and reliability of the joint when using this aperture shape. I have had experience with these with MELFS, and the main issue I've seen comes when cleaning the stencil - all those littl

Russ: You're correct, running second side SMDs on the wave without adhesives is more fun than a lot of people think. Ta. Dave F

Can you describe "easy"? Is it a flick of the finger, do you need tweezers? Remember, the solder is just there to provide an electrical connection, the physical attachment is a bonus! "Give me a big enough lever, and I can lift the world." --Archi

This probably won't help much but I find it at least a little interesting. During some experimentation recently I accidently loaded a board into the wave upside down and it had a PLCC 68 package along with other types of components that had only bee

I have an adhesive dispenser in my workcenter but I rarely use it. I've replaced this process with wavesolder pallets for bottom side PTH soldering, ocassionally gluing parts left exposed by the pallet. So I was thinking of selling the dispensing equ
