Thanks for your answer Dave. Just a clarification. Given FIT is for just one soldering or for a specific number ? I mean cards we produce have, typically, 10000 soldering joints. Which is the expected FIT of that card ? Thanks again for your help.

We are using HASL board for Press Fit, without problem in the past until recently. Now we are seeing the solder in the PTH melt and block partially the PTH hole during the reflow. It gives problem when Press Fit. Anyone has advice on this?

Check that your boards haven't been over plated. Too much plating in the hole can slump to the underside of the board during reflow. If you are then press fitting on the underside of the board you can have problems with hole diameter. If the hole is
