Rob, thank you for input. I notice you mention a baking process for the flex circuits, this is our first time with flex assembly, do the flex circuits need to be baked prior SMT, Moisture? Thanks, David

Hi, What would you consider significantly different about lead-free on flex circuits than tin-lead of flex circuits ? Have you published your experiances that you encountered while changing over to lead-free solder paste from a tin-lead paste ? T

There is also a good reference book on flexible circuits from Joe Fjelstad. http://flexiblecircuittechnology.com/flex4/ This book covers everything from creating the flex circuitry itself to the assembly of flex circuits. Also, roll-to-roll assemb

If your flex circuit is only populated on one side, you can have the PCB vendor palletize the flex for you. What you do is have the flex circuit laminated to 062" FR4 using a thermoset adhesive like Dupont WA. Standard flex circuit adhesive. Howev

Another thing to look out for... Flex circuits, if not fixtured properly tend to move around and, well, "flex" during screen printing. At another place I worked, we fixtured the flex circuit on a SMT pallet on the corner tooling pins to "stretch"

You don't necessarily have to bake the flex circuits, but you do have to worry about moisture. Polyimide is very hydroscopic, and depending on the flex construction, any moisture in the product can lead to delamination. Adhesive based flex circuits

OK, I have a new product being tossed over "the wall" that has a flex circuit layered into a standard FR board and protrudes out of it. The flex circuit is 0.022" thick and is the 3rd layer of 6 layers. The total board thickness of the FR board is

Hi, how to automate FR4 sticking one a small section of flex circuit? Currently, we're sticking one by one manually. I need some ideas to improvise, like, loading in 1 flex circuit, then the machine sticks Fr4 onto the flex. Any suggestions please.
