I am having a horrible time with the square radial lead capacitors (thru hole components) and the part coating flowing into the solder joint. These are Class 3 products. When we run them through the wave solder machine, the solder travels up the le

Another issue is that once solder paste has been reflowed, the majority of the flux is gone. If it is reflowed again without solder flux, the risk of introducing oxidation to the component leads is increased, thus creating a weak solder joint.

Another consideration is that heat damage is accumulative. If you have temperature sensitive components, that third reflow may be bringing them close to their failure point.

Our process mostly are double sided reflow and we are using water soluble paste on ENTEK PCB. Rework WIP has been accumulated since the last 4 months, and upon clearing, one of the method that the test guy use are to reflow the PCB again for one mo

One very important consideration in your situation is to determine if you have moisture sensitive components on these boards. If you have any device classified level 3 or higher then you have a very high level of risk associated with moisture sensit

Looks like most did not help you with your question. REFLOW is to flow and flow again. Flow is when somthing moves. Reflow is when it moves a second time. When solder is applied to the PCB it flows onto the board thru the appatures of the stencle. It

pr, I don't believe there is a differance in performance of the ProFlow head between "Leaded" and "Lead-Free" paste. We have been using the ProFlow for about 4 years now with leaded paste. Yes, some issues to overcome. Mostly in the brand/type of

We agree with all of what Patrick has said. Hopefully your equipment is capable of the ideal setup you describe with no back flow until the product hits the wave and then back flow until the product emerges the other side. One other reason to strive
