Hi, We are running lead free at wave solder now and the spray flux system is down. If we are going to able the flux manually, what problem will we be facing with the excess flux able. Appreciate for the advise.

That would be our first guess, also. Get the stuff analyzed to be sure. Another clue is if the white stuff disappears when you hit it with hot air from a rework station. The hot air is activate the flux. Good troubleshooting tool, but you're subj

If you're washing the boards properly, you should see any problems, maybe a little extra floaming, but that won't be too bad. If you're running no clean, you need to aplly flux according to your supplier's recommendations. If you decide not to foll

Is anyone wave soldering 0603 leadfree succesfully? We have no problems soldering them leaded, but lead free we see a lot of random skips and some shorts. We use SAC. We have tried different fluxes, flux settings, playing around with preheat, sol

looks like my knowldge preceeds me again. I woud try a different flux. If it doesn't work - it will take a question mark away and your one step closer to total success.

Glenn, i am aware of one unique problem with voc free fluxes. since these fluxes have certain amountb of water content they cause sputtering leading to solder balls & voids problems. Regards Vinesh Gandhi | I require some feed back from any one

We are in the process of changing over our wave solder flux from alcohol based no clean to VOC free water based no clean. We are running an old Eletrovert with foam fluxer, tin lead solder. After preliminary testing on scrap boards and now starting t

Hi, The tin flush is a good idea, and better than the suppliers suggestion of filling with lead-free solder which is much more expensive. I guess we won't be leaving a KG of solder in the bath, but based on your experience, how much remaining sold

I want to know the advantage of using complete inert soldering wave machine (with Nitrogen, Tunnel concept) in comparison to use just a soldering machine withe inerted solder pot. Thanks
