Re: BGA open pin

Sal, This is a common problem experienced by several OEM's. It all comes down to heat. This is why the problem is corrected on your repair unit. I would suggest using a Slim Kic or Data Pac (mole) to thermal couple the IC prior to the reflow oven.

Chris, With thanks to Eyal, this is Graham Naisbitt (NiceBit? - Talk to Eyal later!) We can indeed offer you semi-automatic equipment from around $8K US. Your budget is really low, we have to make a living too you know. However, this equipment do

ENIG finishing

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 11 15:33:52 EST 2000 | Steve Thomas

We're considering an ENIG finish on some of our boards to resolve some coplanarity concerns with 20 mil pitch QFP100s. I welcome any comments on the subject, especially regarding solderability and the variables of ENIG that affect it, but would part

Steve, I have just one question. Do you place any other QFP's that have 20mil pitch or less? Do you see the same problems? You might be able to solve the problem using other methods. If not, will the ENIG finish on the boards be a profitable move. I

Steve: Several points: * I don't have any real problems with the paper that you referenced. The hair on the back of my neck did rise a bit when the paper touched-on the higher level of process control required for ENIG. * JAX makes a good point.

I would suggest contacting some refurb companies depending on how much volume you are talking about. From my experience, I would look at Fuji (very good equipment), Seimens (flexibility) or something like MYDATA. Fuji's tend to run towards the high e

Hi john, We just bought a new PNP machine for having now a complete line and there is a few things we don't want to repete the next time we will have a new line. I have a list of important technical questions to ask to your vendor and I think you a

Re: How long to burn in a circuit board

Thanks Dave F for you 2 cents. You bring up some important points that what one person is doing isn't neccesary right for us. Someone might burn in their boards for 10 hours in temperature but their ramp time is only an hour versus someone else is
