Mydata Hard Disk Failure

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 18 09:05:52 EDT 2004 | Stefan Witte

With this many hard drive problems, I would search in other directions. You may have a defective power supply or a bus switch on the motherboard. I would dump the entire computer. With Linux you have to be a bit more selective in the components. I wo

I have no experience working with the systems you listed about, however I have experience working with a GSI Lumonics SVS systems measuring solder paste. I am also in the process in looking for new equipment to replace the GSI systems that is capabl

Mike: When you stated that you are looking for a different AOI to replace GSI Lumonics because of 0201 solder paste inspection. Does that mean that you have a 1X scanner and it is not giving you reliable results? Have you tried the 2X scanner from G

I need to address the issue for colorful display on solder joints, for whoever researched on this machine, no one can deny it is a smart feature for visual assistance. however, it is still Mono color "gray scale" algorithm. it basically "paint" the i

Wave solder: Vitronics-Soltec vs. Electrovert

Hi, We've got a 6622, been running since Jan & does a good job. You may want to consider the smart wave option as this will (allegedly)force solder up the holes to give you better joints for lead free. Spray fluxer works very well, limiting the am

I have never used the Vitronics but have pretty extensive experience with the Electra as well as Ultra-Pak and econ-pak from electrovert. I ahve been impressed with these machines for their durability and ease of use. A laminar flow with the rotary

Hiram, We have just had the same decision to make! I was at Vitronics Soltec, Holland about 4 weeks ago doing trials for Lead Free. The Soltec Delta machine was ultimatly chosen over price verses performance. Both machines are very capable but

Other way around Dave. We decided that the Delta had more in common with the Electra rather than the Vectra, the Electra being much more expensive. For example, we wanted 3 preheat zones for lead free and this would mean an exernal fluxer unit if

Hi , Our hardware designer wants to introduce a board with a straddle - mounted SMT connector, AMP part number 84487-1 and FCI 71292-001. This is an 80 pin connector that slips over the edge of the PCB and has 40 SMT pads on either side (at least thi

We do this every day, We print the bottom side, then the top, and have a tool that presses the connector on. We then process the board down the line. The only tricky thing is keeping fingers out of paste. Fortunately this is a single sided board.
