Hello Greg, there are several things to be considered: I will start this investigation in the oven. Look in your cooling zones. Many ovens build up a lot of flux there(especially the ones with water cooling) and should be cleaned every so often.

I heard 48" and thought about a 48x48 board. I never thought about it being slender. PVC would be heavy (costing more to ship), there are cardboard tubes that you can get cut that long for cheaper. Sounds like you have your process dialed in.

Hi Ermami, You can on the base Sapphire (non x or xii) - it's switches on the Connection Board, I'm guessing it's the same for the X & Xii, although they are pretty rare. It's in the Sapphire Service Manual, and also in the Topaz & Emerald X & Xi

i have a SPA 250, it has serial connector but uses RS485. only 2 pins of serial connector are in use. it is very likely that this is the case with SPA 400. there are some settings in offline editor, if you havent fixed it yet i can send you some pict
