Hi Evtimov, Thanks for your response. Yes, the vapour phase is suppose to handle big and heavy boards, at least thats the intention. Well our thin board is like around 3mm which is not really thin. In our application the thicker the boards means more

We noticed unsufficient soldering on some 0805 chips located between pins from a plastic bloc connector . All chips are soldered with 45 angle. Flux quantity , preheating , contact time and PCB quality was checked. Do you know any international stan

We recently got a job where (after placing SMT parts) we have to solder LED dot-matrix 8x8 display modules manually on the pcb. Due to the PCB design, it has to be TH type (also, it's the only type available) and soldered manually (or using selective

Problems with Maxim TQFN 38 pin part

Hi, We solder a part almost identical to this without problems. Could it be your airflow in your oven is set to high? On our prototypes we didn't place any solder on the middle bad as it was not a connection, and we did not need it thermally, how

There is an approximate 1W dissipation and has a 2 sq in area below part on solder side as a heat sink, vias are to physically conect this solder side area to power pad, so its necessary to use an adequate amount of paste. I really dont think it has

There is no standard for the spacing of components, nor should there be. We have a difficult time picturing your 0805 at a 45* to the wave and the safe pin, but we'd guess this spacing needs to be 10 thou.

Press Fit Connector pin protrusion in Backplane

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 02 21:31:38 EST 2007 | bill_gates

Hi, I am considering to use pressfit D-Sub and DIN connectors on a backplane. The IPC guideline does just cover pin protrusion for soldered pins, which have to be flush with the board as a minimum acceptable design. Yet, if the backplane may be thic

We use a HEPCO model 3000-2 (hepcoblue.com) to shorten leads on various through hole components before we solder them on a pcb. You will have to verify they have a die that works with your particular LED module. If they do, this is what I would rec
