Does anyone out there know of anyone renting equipment to record video of reflow actions? I am looking for a hi-temp camera to run behind boards in my ovens to record what's happening in there. We have some crazy stuff going on with some boards. Help

ECD has a product called the Temprobe that is an alternative to hi-temp solder, tapes and glues for thermocouple attachedment. The cool thing about the Temprobe is that you can use it on a pasted board too. http://www.saunderstech.com/

We have used small hi temp labes, that are placed on our panels, boards before reflow. Each operator has a roll of labels with an assigned number. 4 operators, label 1, 2, 3 and 4. It worked well for us.

In order of effectiveness / accurate reading: 1. Hi-Temp Soldering 2. ECD's Temprobe or new Flexiprobe http://www.ecd.com 3. Glue, such as SMT adhesive 4. Aluminum tape Capton tape should not be used as it expands at reflow temps.

If you're too lazy to search, the quick answer I can give you: ALUMINUM TAPE! Try it. DoE's have proven, that it's the 2nd best method for T/C attachment. The best is obviously hi-temp solder.
