Stencil Printing No lead

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 21 13:30:26 EDT 2007 | jseagle

Is it a clamshell type printer, opens on a hinge? If so you will never be able to reliably print with that type of printer. We had one of their printers and were never able to get it to print fine pitch reliably. It has nothing to do with the oper

Stencil Printing No lead

We went with a DEK ELA automated printer and have never been happier. We print down to 16mil (.4mm) with great results. I know this may be beyond your budget but just look for a printer that raises straight off the board with no hinge. James

Conformal Coating

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 03 11:13:44 EST 2003 | ADAM

Guys When stripping conformal coating from an entire assembly, how do I know the stripping solution won't damage anything on the PCB ? stuff like electronic sensitive devices, wiring, labelling and plastic hinges. And secondly when conformally coati

0.4mm PCB Thickness - production issues

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 22 17:36:35 EDT 2006 | mika

A bunch of thanks guys, we will take this in consideration. BTW, we will not go for the v-grove in the panel (2x8 boards + the extra cut of areas). The board house recommended us to go for braces/hinges, since this thin pcb-panel could easily break w

You're correct. It hinges on who's talking about a "production printed board." * You think a "production printed board" is the board that you're trying to produce and ship. * Your fab thinks a "production printed board" is a 30-up panel. It would be

The surveyor is a a plate that I use to "survey" or verify the oven on a weekly basis. The data logger or profiler is the actual unit that follows the board through the oven to take readings. I don't think the zone thermo couple that measures temp a

Post Reballing Solder Ball Inspection

Thinking about it... If your sphere diameters were all the same, then your planarity should be established. Sounds like a job for an AOI type machine, with a laser height checker. I take it you have many of these to check, and are looking for someth

Mfg Rep - Conflict of Interest

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 04 10:45:24 EDT 2003 | davef

On one hand, your suspicion is reasonable. Worst case, maybe you could workout an agreement that would lessen those concerns, like conducting price negotiations with the equipment supplier directly. While our suppliers sign a nondisclosure form, we

New Printer :- Dek Horizon 03i or MPM 125 ??

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 06 15:04:26 EDT 2008 | mikesewell

I've installed both (at different companies),currently a MPM 125 user. The DEK seemed slightly easier to program a new board. I guess it depends on which platform you're most familiar with. The Hawkeye inspection we had is fast to setup but doesn'

Very interesting - esp that you have removed the temperature variable by being airconditioned. We defeinitely do not get strikes at 74 but do at 80 - but also we dont start the machine when its 80, that is the afternoon tempertaure on a rare hot day
