Hi everyone, We bought a used Juki KE a few months ago. Installed it at the beginning of this year, but have some problems with the Z and ROT servos. As soon as the machine is powered on, the ALM04 red led turns on on some of the Z and ROT drivers.

are you sure #1 and #6 are interchangeable? if I remember correctly there is a catch with those motors, like there are 2 groups, group 1 being #1 #3 #5 and group 2 being #2 #4 and #6. maybe try getting it back and swapping cables at drivers for head

You can contact Hitachi High Technologies America, they are still supporting these machines (972-615-9102). It also sounds like you could have a servo problem.

Z axis drivers are located in co-salled LP servo bay. It is 19" rack mounted in lower left part of the machine. Head1 z axis driver is in slot 4 and head2 driver is in slot 6

If there are no errors, check main relay contacts, it is common that one contact is not closing.

We can vouch that UTSOURCE was excellent in assisting in the repair of some obscure farm equipment for a local farmer. Their Hitachi (original) LCD display driver was blown on a number of PCBs but was able to source the replacements through this port
