Hello, I'm looking for a protocol description of the SMPI interface (we would like to connect a SMPI machine to a SMEMA machine). Does anybody have description of signals (electrically) + waveforms + pin-layout + connectortype? THanks Regards bas.r

Fine SMTnet Archives are amazing. Look here: http://www.smtnet.com/Forums/index.cfm/fuseaction/view_thread/CFApp/1/Thread_ID/6759

Hi everybody, Can anybody out there help me with this? I have a Jot conveour with SMEMA interface and and I need to "hook up" this to a Fuji conveour (CP6). The electrical drawings of the SMEMA I alreday have (IPC-SMEMA-9851), but I am hoping for a

Try switching pins 1 and 2 on the smema cable going to the CP6 machine. Fuji needs contact close then open to send/recieve boards.

Hi Mika, Why not just splice into the existing 2 pin connector on the beginning or end of the CP conveyors? See attached picture...

Universal does have a closed loop Traceability system (down to ref ID, per circuit if desired) that has enabled customers to gain FDA, and Military certification. Be aware that some "traceability" schemes do not access the actual machine code, and

Are you saying that the sensor is mounted onto the output conveyor of the glue machine and wired into the Onserter? If so ( weird, because the glue machine should have a SMEMA interface ), than you could mount the sensor on the input conveyor of the

It isn't clear if it was working and stopped, or if this is the first time you've tried to make it work. If this is first try, need to confirm cards and cables on DEK, and what interface is configured on UIC. I have SMEMA cards in stock if needed. P

10 or even up from a UIC conveyor of the old model - probably SMPI is the connector from UIC fully loaded, then full SMPI, but not all of them are used. Just Good board, bad Board, send, receive acknowledge. It is possible to convert this into SMEMA.
