Does anyone have a suggestion for soldering boards with 1 inch long leads sticking out the bottom? Our vendor is using a drag solder machine, but I'm not happy with the preheat and controls on it. We assemble boards with numerous LED's( 200 to 700 pe

2, I have to scroll down to the bottom to see the image... and the outline of the legs isn't very clear. The legs are sort of blurred together. I had tried lowering the CCD offset in the part definition to -50, but it still looked bad. Could this

Hi James, it could be the problem is due to residual of cleaner media entrapped under low gap of QFP 208 and 0,5 mm lead pitch. I remember in the past we had random problems of failure at test after board wash off process (DI Water wash). We met

One failure mode we have seen with TH XTALs is shorting from one of the leads to the metal can that houses the part. Typically, the opening around the lead at the base of the part can be small and if you combine this with a larger than needed annula

I feel your pain as well. Our purchasing group minimizes the amount of material in inventory so of course they bring in only what is absolutely needed. When they see 10,000 components in house they just don't understand that the part may be used on

Thanks Dave, The reason I want to make one in-house is cost. This is not a standard part and after contacting a couple of vendors ($1,000 plus for first tray) I decided it would be much cheaper to do it in house with our CNC.

Good morning, We are presently using a couple surface mount parts on our circuit boards. We send the boards out of house to have the SMD parts placed. I have been told that the apertures for the stencil for each SMD are not to be 1:1 with

We sometimes use a peelable mask the the PCB manufacturer (board house) adds as part of their process. It may seem an expensive option but avoids: Raising P/o's for tape/peelable mask as consumables booking & inspection Booking out to the shop floo
