We have 2 PVA2400 4 axis selective spray machines that we use to spray Humiseal 1B31 and 1A33. They take a bit of programming to get right, though this is easy to do, but do the job OK. Another to consider if you need the 4 axis of movement would b

What masking tape can people recommend for masking the board when conformal coating. I am using a PVA autocoat machine and humiseal 1B31. Current tape, is leaving residue on board when used to hold link wires down whilst glue cures and also when used

I use Trace Labs and certainly recommend them. I actually just had this test done last week. Adhesion test per ASTM-3359 Method B. We also use Humiseal 1B73, which is similar to the 1B31 you use. Is your soldermask "active" enough for this coat

SCC3 has an operating temperature of 200C, as long as it is heat cured at 100C. https://www.electrolube.com/pdf/tds/044/DCA.pdf It's also a silicone so needs to be coated & cured away from anything you value. Otherwise there are plenty of PU's and

We are using Humiseal 1B31 and polyester dots for masking. We are spraying this in a Binks sprayer mixed at almost 1:1 with 521 thinner. Whe are seeing the coating creating thin halos around the poly dots as if the dots are "rejecting" the coating. T

Thank you for all of the advice. I am using the extended spray for these cards. Humiseal have recommended using their own thinners 600 instead, so will run some trials with this and also the humiseal pre-mixed material (at the moment we mix our ow

I am looking into replacing another business division's Acrylic coating process with our Urethane coating process. Unfortunately, MIL-I-46068 doesn't differentiate AR/UR's performance, and the MFR data sheets don't match up at all (they each spec di

We us a lot of 1B31 it could be one of the most common coatings out there. We do not clean the boards and do not have an issue. I would check the solder mask compatibly. I would also see how the 3rd party company is testing the boards what criteria o
